Public Safety

I have great respect for our law enforcement officers. Their willingness to run towards danger to protect others is commendable, and we must make sure they have the tools, resources, and training to properly carry out their jobs. 

Rising crime and increased illicit drug use has made our communities a much less safe place to live and work. Throughout my time in Congress, I have voted for multiple measures that combat crime and support our law enforcement officers including voting for additional funding for local first responders and supporting the HALT Fentanyl Act to classify fentanyl as a controlled substance. 

I will always stand up for our first responders and ensure they can continue to keep our families safe.
