Since 2021, we have seen record-breaking gas and energy prices that are a direct result of U.S. reliance on foreign adversaries for our energy supply. This not only forces hardworking Americans to budget hundreds of extra dollars to pump their gas or heat their homes, but also threatens our national security. The United States has some of the most clean, efficient, energy-producing capabilities in the world, and we must promote domestic energy production if we want safe, sustainable, and affordable energy.
As a Member of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus, I’m working to accelerate the use of domestically produced, low-carbon renewable fuels such as ethanol, biodiesel, and sustainable aviation fuel. This starts with ensuring that E-15 is available to purchase year-round, as well as ensuring that American tax dollars don't go toward subsidizing the purchase of electric vehicles.
