LA CROSSE, W.I – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) released the following statement after Vice President JD Vance visited Wisconsin’s Third District to highlight the wins for America in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill:
“It is an honor to have Vice President Vance in Wisconsin’s Third District. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill is a historic piece of legislation that gets rid of the death tax for our farmers, secures a $500,000,000 plus up for rural healthcare and $1 billion for BadgerCare, provides our seniors with a $6,000 tax deduction, and cuts taxes on tips and overtime. This is how we bring back jobs, bring costs down for families, and continue building America’s future under the leadership of President Trump and Vice President Vance.”
Other key provisions in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill include:
- Making the Small Business Tax Deduction permanent and increasing it to 23%
- Expands 529 education savings accounts
- Secures no tax on Social Security for seniors
- Increases the dairy Tier I cap to 6 million pounds
- Allocates funding to secure the southern border
- Invests in domestic energy production
