WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) and Congressman Don Davis (D-NC) introduced the Ag Vets Act. This bipartisan bill will codify an existing Ag Vets program to direct the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to award competitive grants to prepare veterans for entering the farming and ranching industries.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin requesting the Department of Defense (DoD) to investigate, address, and combat left-wing extremism among active duty servicemembers and veterans. The letter comes after the DoD began efforts to root out extremist behavior within the Armed Forces and after a self-identified anarchist servicemember in the U.S. Air Force engaged in an act of self-immolation outside of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.

CHIPPEWA FALLS, W.I. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) announced the securement of five military medals for Mr. Neil Korn of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Mr. Korn is a retired United States Army Private First Class who served during the period of January 8, 1943 to December 15, 1944. He completed battles and campaigns in Normandy, France, Northern France, and Rhineland, Germany.
