Van Orden to Temporarily Miss Votes Due to Family Medical Matter

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Derrick Van Orden will temporarily miss votes beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, as his wife undergoes a scheduled surgical procedure.
Rep. Van Orden’s district and Washington, D.C. offices will remain open and fully operational to continue serving the people of Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.
“I am very thankful for the understanding and support from my colleagues and constituents as my family deals with this serious medical issue,” said Van Orden. “I am humbly asking for your thoughts and prayers for the healing of my dear wife.”
Van Orden will return to Washington DC as soon as his wife’s health permits.
