Van Orden Statement on Continuing Resolution
January 18, 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) released the following statement after voting against the Continuing Resolution (CR):
“I have voted for two Continuing Resolutions in the past four months, and we have seen no progress in passing Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) funding or addressing our nation’s top issues. We have a historic crisis and national security threat at our southern border, billions in wasteful government spending, and still no strategic plan for the war in Ukraine. The CR brought to the House floor today did nothing to resolve these problems and only would have continued to kick the can down the road of budgeting by crisis.”
