WKBT: Van Orden discusses tax relief for small businesses in Eau Claire
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) -- Congressman Derrick Van Orden visited with small business owners Tuesday to discuss federal tax legislation designed to provide relief for Main Street enterprises and family-owned businesses.
Van Orden met with business owners at Roadside Ice Cream and Diner in Eau Claire to outline provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts, legislation that would raise limits and reduce delays on business investments.
The congressman said the measures would specifically target relief for Main Street and family-owned businesses by addressing regulatory burdens that often strain smaller operations.
"Small business don't have the money to hire someone to do all the regulations the government requires," Van Orden said. "So getting rid of some of those regulations is fantastic for the businesses."
